WHAT: Rep. Jesse Topper (R-Bedford/Franklin/Fulton), local and state dignitaries, and family members of U.S. Army Cpl. William Glen Imler will gather to dedicate a bridge in Imler’s honor. Imler served our nation in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was killed in action in 1944 at age 29.
During the ceremony, Imler will be permanently honored and remembered. Topper sponsored the bill to dedicate the bridge in Imler’s name.
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m.
WHERE: Ceremony: 636 Sunnyside Road, Bedford.
Bridge: Imlertown Road bridge over Dunning Creek.
