Topper to Host Bridge Dedication for Local Hero Killed in Korean War

WHAT:    Rep. Jesse Topper (R-Bedford/Franklin/Fulton), local dignitaries and family members of U.S. Army Pfc. James E. Williams will dedicate a bridge in Williams’ honor. The Bedford County-native died while held in captivity by Chinese forces as a prisoner of war during the Korean War.

Topper sponsored the bill to dedicate the bridge in Williams’ name. 

WHEN:    Friday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m.

WHERE:    4375 Raystown Road, which is adjacent to the bridge, in Hopewell.
